Questions & Answers

Common Questions About This Project

Why was Amory selected for this project?+

Monroe County offers the power infrastructure, land availability, and fiber connectivity that modern data centers require — along with a strong local workforce and a business-friendly environment.

Will this affect traffic in Amory?+

Construction traffic will be managed through a dedicated access plan coordinated with county transportation. Once operational, the facility generates minimal daily traffic.

What about noise and visual impact?+

The facility is designed with acoustic barriers and setback requirements that meet or exceed local ordinances. Landscaping buffers will be installed along all public-facing perimeters.

How much water will the facility use?+

We use closed-loop cooling systems that dramatically reduce water consumption compared to older data center designs. All water use complies with Monroe County water authority requirements.

What is the construction timeline?+

Site work is expected to begin in 2026, with Phase 1 commissioning targeted for 2027. Community updates will be posted here throughout the process.

How will Monroe County schools benefit?+

A significant portion of the annual tax revenue generated by the facility flows directly to the Monroe County school district — supplementing budgets for teachers, facilities, and programs.
